History Tours:  "Stories Behind Gravestones"

There’s a story behind every gravestone out there.”  (John LaBonty, ECP President)

Eureka Community Players offers an immersive learning experience through annual guided cemetery tours through a collaboration with the local Tobacco Valley Cemetery board. The tours are a unique way to learn about local history as visitors stop at select graves, where actors perform first-person accounts of the life each person lived. There's some interesting characters you'll learn about: an Earl, someone with possible connections  to Custer and at lease one screen actor.

Visitors will also gain insight about the history of cemeteries, including differences between cemeteries and graveyards. The next annual event:
October 8, 2023. The cemetery board provides hot cider to take the edge off the Fall chill. Visitors are advised to dress warmly and wear sturdy shoes.

"Eureka's Got Talent"
